Here’s why this happens and how to fix it. What does “A2DP” even mean? A2DP stands for Advanced Audio Distribution Profile . It’s the Bluetooth protocol that allows high-quality stereo music to stream to your headphones. Without it, Windows 7 defaults to the "Hands-Free" profile (HFP/HSP), which sounds like you’re listening to music through a walkie-talkie.
