If you’ve been scrolling through Amazon Prime Video looking for a stand-up special that’s smart, self-aware, and genuinely funny, Kanan Gill’s Keep It Real deserves your attention. Released a few years ago, this special remains a standout in Indian English comedy — and for good reason.

Kanan moves away from his YouTube-character roots ( Pretentious Movie Reviews ) and delivers an hour of observational humor that feels personal. He talks about growing up, the absurdity of adulting, relationships, technology, and the lies we tell ourselves. The title says it all: he tries to “keep it real” while hilariously failing at times. Good review, but I do think that if people are familiar with the grit, gore, violence, and moral dilemmas of The Walking Dead then they know what they’re getting into.
