Julian becomes obsessed. He finds Danny’s social media—sparse, angry posts. A photo of Danny holding a motorcycle helmet, grinning. A comment from a woman named Lila: “Don’t die before Thursday, you idiot.” Julian feels a strange pull, like looking into a pond where his reflection has started moving on its own.
