Respect the fan upscalers for their service, but watch Gintama the way the Shinpachi intended: slightly pixelated, incredibly loud, and absolutely chaotic.

You do not need to see the individual pores on Zura’s nose as he says "Zura janai, Katsura da." You really don't. Right now, it’s unlikely. A true 4K remaster would require going back to the original film scans and digital files. For a comedy series with a niche (but passionate) Western audience compared to Demon Slayer or Jujutsu Kaisen , the ROI isn't there.
If you want to watch a fan upscale of Gintama' (2011) or Gintama° (2015) during a major dramatic arc— It enhances the sakuga.
