If you skip via console commands, you miss the equipment progression. You start Mission 1 with a pistol. You start Mission 14 with a sniper, heavy armor, and grenades. Unlocking all missions gives you the freedom to replay the best shootouts without replaying the awful stealth sections. For a quick replay: Use the skip command.
