Turns out, I was completely misinterpreting the lubrication factor. The GUI hint is vague, but the manual has a full flowchart of how to select the right viscosity grade.
Okay, I’ll admit it – for the first 6 months of using Kisssoft, I just clicked buttons and ran reports. If it said “OK,” I moved on.
Use Ctrl+F in the PDF. Searching for “Tip relief” or “Plastic gear” is 10x faster than clicking through the software’s help tabs.
