The trade was set for December 12th, 2009. Then his hard drive crashed. A head collision. A screech of death. By the time he’d scraped together the money for data recovery, Crisis_Cracker had vanished. The FTP was gone. The haikus stopped.
Now, fifteen years later, Leo clicked on tmnt2.zip . It was there. The file date: December 13th, 2009. 1:03 AM. The drive had died after the transfer. He’d completed the trade and never knew it.
