This article explains what this file is, why it appears, and how to safely manage it. symsrv.dll.000 is not a virus. It is a locked, temporary cache file created by the Windows Debugging Tools (WinDbg), the Microsoft Visual Studio debugger, or the Windows Performance Toolkit .

If you have been browsing the temporary folders on a Windows machine used for software development or debugging, you might have encountered a cryptic file named symsrv.dll.000 (or similar extensions like .001 , .002 ). At first glance, this looks like a corrupted DLL or a virus. However, in most cases, it is a harmless and temporary byproduct of the Windows Symbol Server .

Step 2) Receive license by email

Step 3) Enter the license in the program

The license is entered in the program by using the 'Enter Key' button on the demo mode startup screen. This removes all polling limitations and the startup screen.
