“We’re dead,” whispered a rabbit avatar named MintyHop. “Piggy’s OP this round. The script says instant grab.”
“Second miss,” Minty counted. “Two more for the Easy Badge.”
Piggy’s cleaver stopped an inch from her skull. His head twitched, tracking the badge as it clattered into a ring toss game. A slot machine sound played.
The server lobby flickered with purple static. Usernames scrolled past in a panic. -THE HUNT EVENT- Piggy OP SCRIPT -EASY BADGE-
“Fresh meat for the Hunt.”
But not normal Piggy.
Minty bolted left. SirBearington went right. Standard split. “We’re dead,” whispered a rabbit avatar named MintyHop
This one was —overpowered. Two stories tall. Rusty cleaver dragging behind him, sparking against the concrete. His one visible eye glitched, flickering through player names like a targeting computer.
“He’s scripted to miss the first hit,” she shouted. “Deliberately! It’s part of the Hunt Event!”
Then he spoke —not the usual grunts, but a distorted, low voice: “Script says… no more misses.” “Two more for the Easy Badge
flashed across the sky in jagged red letters.
“That,” Minty whispered, “was not easy.”
The giant pig lowered his weapon. Tilted his head. Then, gently, he picked up the Easy Badge, pinned it to his chest, and sat down like a trained dog.
