If you're stuck on Android 4.4.2, consider using WhatsApp Web on a PC paired with your main phone (which must be on a newer OS). Better yet, upgrade to at least Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or higher – WhatsApp requires Android 5.0+ as of late 2024. Using WhatsApp on 4.4.2 is a frustrating, insecure, and soon-to-be-impossible experience.
